Mt. Rose Palliative Care and Hospice is a nonprofit organization. As such, we depend on the generosity of the community to continue our work of providing compassionate end-of-life care to those facing a life-limiting illness.

Part of our mission is to educate the public about the role of hospice in the spectrum of health care. Many people view hospice as giving up hope. But hospice is about allowing people to live in comfort and peace as they near the end of their life.

One of the most common comments we hear from our patients and their families is that they wish they had chosen hospice care earlier. Studies have shown that choosing hospice earlier helps ease this time of transition for everyone affected and may actually extend the patient’s life.
